Prayer Of The Week

"But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your god, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5

Lays it all out there doesn’t it? I love that line, “to hold fast to Him”. We sure do need to do that sometimes don’t we? This weekend I focused on the book of Joshua for personal reasons and man I got a lot out of it. So many great lessons in that book. Joshua is the book of the Bible where the Israelites finally cross into the promised land. Over and over again throughout the book the same thing kept getting reinforced, have no fear, God is with us, just follow my directions and things will go well.
Bottom line, we need to spend time with God so we can get clarity on His directions for our specific lives. God has a unique plan for each of us, but we are not going to learn that plan watching TV, roaming Facebook, or focusing on self. We need to spend time with Him, keep his commandments, hold fast to Him and serve Him with all our heart. Do that, and we can be square in the middle of God’s Will for our lives-which is the closest thing to the promised land we will experience before Heaven. It is out there for each of us, we just need to be brave, trust Him, and move forward serving Him with all our heart and soul. Be blessed!

p.s. If you have not done it yet, join me on Facebook at the link below. Over the next few months, I want to use this page to really push a lot of tips that will help people and begin to work Christ into posts and messages to continue to minister to the work place which is where I feel I have been uniquely called. Take care!
